Pros
It's a job. pretty good benefits which start immediately upon hire. guaranteed employment longevity, as long as you show up it is almost impossible to be terminated. no expectations, if you come there and pretend to work for 8hrs no-one bothers you. no supervisor breathing down your back. Little to no management structure which allows employees to have a relaxed do as you please work mentality.
Cons
poor salary: extremely lower then other companies in the same manufacturing industry no management support: your problems are not their problems. you are on your own. upper management is clueless: do not expect upper management to communicate with you. this company is structured to bring moral down while struggling to produce quality products by unhappy employees. no room for advancement: do not expect to be promoted unless you are a part of the buddy system or an exceptional kiss ass. no encouragement or motivation to do a good job, learn more or give great work performance. if you do the minimum that is acceptable. knowledge of your job is based on what you can learn on your own, there is little to no training, this place is a firm believer in the "sink or swim" method of teaching. management can care less about employees, their main focus and concern is not being bothered, fresh coffee, and leaving by 5pm. major problems or concerns will be band-aided with some irrelevant solution that makes matters worse.
