Pros

You get a paycheck every two weeks.

Cons

My experience at Korn Ferry RPO fell short of my expectations, leaving me disheartened and frustrated. Despite being initially enticed by the prospect of working as a client-facing recruiter, I was quickly shifted into a sourcer role without any prior discussion or agreement, setting the tone for a series of disappointments. The culture within Korn Ferry RPO was characterized by excessive micromanagement. Daily "team huddles" felt more like surveillance sessions, where every aspect of our workday was meticulously scrutinized, leaving little room for independence or flexibility. Their touted "exciting quality control measures" primarily focused on relentless scrutiny of metrics. The constant pressure to meet arbitrary numerical targets was accompanied by endless meetings dedicated to analyzing these metrics in exhaustive detail. One of the most intrusive and demoralizing practices was the recording of candidate phone calls without regard for privacy or employee morale. Additionally, Korn Ferry monitored emails to candidates, reprimanding recruiters if they believed the communication did not meet their standards. This invasive approach not only eroded trust but also violated professional boundaries in a concerning manner. In terms of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, Korn Ferry held weekly meetings pressuring recruiters to source minority candidates for Google. Recruiters were urged to seek out candidates from specific demographic groups as if selecting items from a menu. This practice, if known to Google, would likely be disapproved. Furthermore, the expectation to meticulously document every aspect of our work created an atmosphere akin to living under a totalitarian regime. This emphasis on surveillance and control came at the expense of fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Consequently, many recruiters on the Korn Ferry/Google account are actively seeking new opportunities to escape this stifling environment. In conclusion, if you value autonomy, respect, and a healthy work-life balance, I strongly advise against joining Korn Ferry RPO. There are plenty of other opportunities where your skills and contributions will be genuinely appreciated, rather than suffocated by oppressive micromanagement practices.

Pros

I am a consultant through a firm acquired by Korn Ferry and have had a great experience with both the firm (Salo) and with Korn Ferry as a parent company. Great to have benefits and PTO as a consultant and great training and resources available - good communication as well!

Cons

Transitional period during acquisition had a few bumps but nothing major and all ironed out as more time has gone on.

Pros

The client diversity across industries and regions is top notch. Great brand recognition. The marketing investments in Korn Ferry Tour and LA28 paid off. Smart people. Remote work is a plus as 75% people work remotely. No push for facetime in offices. Work from anywhere! Everyone knows of Korn Ferry!

Cons

A culture of long hours and interrupted vacations. Clear demarcation between haves(fee earners) and have nots (execution). High expectations with outdated systems, manual processes, inefficient. Low pay as there are no merits due to market/company performance. Hard to get food at the holiday party so stop at Five Guys prior.
