Pros
I was in technology department, and had very good people to guide, with no worries about job security as they were very kin to focus on work only. Had great opportunities to work. Was involved in several projects which helped to grow the skills.
Cons
Hectic work life, late night work but that can be understood if you are in technology. Now Coming to the title (Bad Management) : HR team is the worst, I don't want question on their work methods but they think that they own the company, always speak about policy but if it comes to them then there is no policy. They never respect employees and expect respect in back. Example - Once my friend resigned, then they given a form to fill with all the NOC. So he/she asked HR team to inform him/her with his/her FNF (Full and Final Settlement) details. Then he/she gets to know that his/her paid leaves has been cut off (even though he/she had common leaves pending). When asked they simply told that its policy (Agreed). Then they given 30 days (From last day) to finish the FNF process and last month salary process (As per their policy) and took around 2 (or more) months to clear just because they (HR team) had no inter communication. Every time he/she has to call them or have to visit office and while giving reason from HR team they always promise (lie) to clear next day but never did. Suggestions - With respect, instead of internal politics, please focus on your employees (Only speaking about tech team). They knows how to work and not how to play dirty politics. HODs please stop using your employees to get something in upper level or to gain upper hand with your opponent. (You guys are very big and behave like one)
