Koo's manufacturing is a rapid growing denim manufacturing company in Southern California with well established premium denim brand names AG Adriano Goldschmied and Big Star. Huge advantage of working for this firm is that they produce quality denim lines in their own facility in the United States, which translates to better production management and better quality overall. Many staffs are generally satisfied with their workload but they lack some fundamental human resourcing techniques that can improve employees performance drastically. They have started annual performance reviews couple of years back and it has improved the attitude of the employees and their performance slightly. This company heavily rely on upper management decisions and department managers and supervisors usually do not make big impact on their thoughts and decisions. One of the best thing about this company is that they are company constantly tries to improve the employees working environment thus making it less stressful for them. Benefits are not usually not consistent. They offer free lunch, retirement plan with good percentage match, gym but high co-pay on HMO medical plans with no dental and vision coverage. But all in all, this company has been striving with sales for the last few years and forecast also is promising for the next three to five years to come.

Their upper management team pretty much controls 80% of the company and rest of the management and their staff don't have any clues as to where the company is headed and what their plans are neither in short or long term. Employees don't see much of the potential to grow as titles of positions are very limited and has no room to move up the ladder. This problem may be due to lack of proper employee training and discipline programs such as good motivational events, awards or simple department night out which can really help the employees bond and gives them chance to relive their stresses and enhance their performances for example. Company will need to seek more opportunities of promotions and events that would generate encouragement. Salary range for this company is generally on the mid to lower end compared to other comparable companies.
