Pros

The people at Koolbit are professional and dynamic. I was very impressed with the whole operation when I first arrived. I found the CEO to be energetic and engaged in the business. He has been very helpful in providing guidance and direction around my project. The environment is supportive and professional, which I really like. I also work with the COO and she is a great resource who provides clear direction and sets reasonable expectations. I continue to be impressed with the company overall.

Cons

Neighborhood where company is located is still in transition, near Twitter, should be getting better. Don't be put off by it, once you're inside it's nice.

Cons

The lack of focus at this company is one for the record books. I was told to work on a certain portion of a project. The next morning the CEO would wave his hand and say, "Why did you work on that? I don't care about that." Meetings were held where everyone was afraid to speak up because of the verbal onslaught given by the CEO. He would ask a question and demand an answer. A few words into your response he would cut us off to interject a new irrelevant question then become angry when we didn't answer the original question. If he were to ask you a question and you didn't use the exact words he was looking for you would be cut off, hand waved at you to show you that your opinion/answer/statement was useless to him. Even other members of upper management were afraid to speak up. One of the managers would tell the CEO whatever he wanted to hear. Many times they were lies only to dodge the current tirade. Later when the lie was brought to light the blame game would begin. Amazing how many times a day employees have to defend themselves for building what they were asked to build to later have a hand flipped in their direction literally shushing them and being told they were working on something that is insignificant. STAY AWAY!
