See cons. They offset any potential good.

Cons

I was required to write a glassdoor review by HR as part of my onboarding. While anonymous, they would know it's me because i have to say when its complete. This is a real conflict, should not be allowed. Everyone in this company knows who the mean girls are (come on, you know it's true). It's like high school. Org lacks professionalism, squeaky wheels just keep getting oiled.

Pros

The mission is real here, not just a slide in the deck. After years in big tech, that's been the biggest shift for me: the work connects to real impact on real patients, and you feel it. Leadership is accessible which is unique. And we are genuinely leaning into AI and innovation, it shows up in the products we're building and in how teams work day to day. There's real investment in doing things well: thoughtful processes, good tooling, and a culture that values craft over just moving fast. Smart people everywhere you look, and they're kind, which is rarer than it should be.

Cons

Things move quickly and priorities shift — that's the reality of a growing company. If you can roll with some ambiguity, you'll be fine.

Pros

The people and the work are the most valuable here. Collaborative, helpful, and actually passionate individuals about the work in a way that doesn't feel performative. Communication is open, leadership isn't hovering, and when you want to tackle something creative or ambitious, you can almost always find a teammate who wants to build it with you. The work is genuinely interesting. Komodo has leaned into AI in a way that feels really innovative and progressive - you get a lot of access to tools, real autonomy to try things, and full permission to fail. That culture of experimentation is rare. It feels like we are paving the way and actually "AI-first". It's not just talking the talk - we are expected and encouraged to lead the charge. Work/life balance and flexibility is really strong. We're fully remote, but there is opportunity to go into our hubs. The mission grounds all of it: it matters that the work connects to reducing disease burden, and you can actually trace a line from your day-to-day to the impact.

Cons

The pace can be tough and the direction can shift faster than bandwidth allows. That's partly the nature of a high-growth company in a fast-moving space (it's not just us), but the "move fast on everything simultaneously" dynamic can be draining.
