Pros
Honestly, I wish I can write a pro or even think of one but I really can’t.
Cons
Leadership at the district level demonstrates a consistent lack of positive reinforcement, coaching, and development. Feedback is often delivered in an aggressive, harsh manner, with little effort made to motivate or support. There have been many instances where associates were spoken to in a demeaning way, including being called a “ditz” and told they would not last long in their role. This type of language is very, very unprofessional and created such a negative work environment that impacts both confidence and morale. There is little to no emphasis on constructive training or balanced feedback. Rather than being guided and developed, employees are often left feeling criticized and undervalued, don’t get me wrong constructive criticism is completely okay, but this is not it! Quieter team members in particular may feel targeted or overlooked in a way that discourages engagement and it has gotten to a point where customers would notice the behaviour when the manager at district level would treat associates this way during their store visits. Overall, the approach to leadership does not reflect a supportive or respectful workplace culture, and it can make the environment feel uncomfortable and demotivating for staff
