Within the Fund Valuation department Graduates / Surveyors / Senior Surveyors do a large proportion of the work which is disregarded when it comes to remuneration. Bonuses are banded and determined by the line manager, making it highly subjective. Non transparent promotion cycles make it difficult for junior people in certain teams to get put forward. Limited, to no opportunity to win, or even pitch for new work restricting mandates and workflow opportunities. Extremely poor attendance to the office ruins the departments culture. Management of certain teams have been known to and continue to over look inappropriate conduct. Some managers have extremely poor communication skills; opting to ignore phones calls messages and emails. So much so, one manager in particular is notorious for having personal tennis lessons during working hours!
