Pros
Met some interesting people and many friends, after I became management a consistent schedule. Was a much different company before the Sears/Kmart merger
Cons
Horrible pay scale, raises were tied into the success of not only Kmart Corp, but also Sears, if one was hurting and the other was in the black, both got their yearly and bonus raises frozen. Corporate worries more about metrics than customers or employees, IE; if you don't get enough credit card applications (a card with 27% interest in this economy?) hours were cut and daily conference calls for management to get unreasonable numbers, not based on individual stores, but a company wide number pulled out of thin air.
