Pros
Work from home... and that's pretty much all. No health insurance, gym membership or extra days off as any other tech company would offer you this days, and they mention "competitive compensation package" in all their job offers but, any other salary is going to be better 100% of the times, and the only compensations you will get are the basics required by law, and expect to be claiming for them all the time. Maybe that sounds like asking a lot, but here don't even expect the very basics that you have to be given by law, such us instruments to accomplish your tasks (yes, you have to bring and abuse of your own computer), off course they won't ensure ergonomics of your work station if you work from home, and if you are willing to go to the so called "office", just keep your expectations low because it doesn't even look like an office. It is a house with poorly made clandestine additions where no architect or similar has ever stepped in, nothing in there is made to be a work place and ergonomics is a concept they are yet to discover... just expect old and cheap big desks in bad conditions, with the cheapest chairs available in the market with quite a lot of use to be honest for you to sit, off course with your personal devices.... not to mention lighting, decoration... or even internet. If it wasn't enough, there are people living in that place too. If they promise you any kind of benefit after some given time, like the computer any other company has to give you to work, or a rise, just don't trust them, it is never true... make sure you get all of this since day 0.
Cons
The list is too long. To keep it simple, just think if you would be ok with your area's leader being... pretty much anyone, this applies for 90% of the areas of the company, where the only merit or knowledge they may have is being friends with the right person and having been in the company since they started, not more than that. If you are finishing your studies and this is your first job, TRUST ME, chances are very high that you know more than what your potential boss does, and don't see it as an opportunity because it won't be. There is a lot of inequity in the company (There is an immense salary gap, with people making nothing, and people making way too much... but nothing in between), even when you see it from a privileged position inside of the company it is going to affect your labor a lot, as most of the people you depend from are paid literally nothing, and nobody working for that is going to give more than their 30% (Surprise, this is why nothing works in that company and why everything is made in a mediocre way). You can feel and see how many people look and feel tired (working overnight is widely accepted and off course with no extra payment) and sad, and most of the employees remain working there just with the illusion of a rise that the leaders just keep postponing with vague and empty excuses, and just to mention, the so called rises don't even match industry standards base wages, not even a fraction most of the times. All this could be accepted understanding that it is a "startup" if you still want to see it as small as they say they are to avoid giving regular benefits, but you would imagine that with those extremely low salaries and poor working conditions you would at least be super well treated by the leaders, who off course should be taking a lot of care of how the employees under this conditions are doing... honestly not even human resources is going to pay attention and leaders could not care less of how people feel. The working environment if of harsh competence where everyone is trying to make the other sink, so each one can shine and bee seen by the leaders to get the so widely wanted, promised and needed rise
