High workload due to lack of experienced SMEs, low capacity in engineering since it’s difficult to hire experienced developers. Leadership lacks the ability to say no to customers and ensures a constant inflow of projects that overwhelms their engineering teams as well. Subsequently, due to low compensation there is a lack of senior developers and experienced people don’t stay very long. Previously allowed remote work two days a week but has reduced it to one. Expensive parking with a busy commute downtown. Huge disconnect between leadership and workers, lack of realism or understanding about what it takes to create a quality product. Many projects are typically half baked and rushed out the door unfinished/broken or is forgotten about in a year due to churn.
