Deadlines and tough customers schedules

The pay is surprisingly decent for a small company. Okay place for a first job just out of school but plan to move on quick.

Owner has an anger issue and is a huge control freak micromanaging everything. Small situations can explode into being yelled at. He insists on doing things the way "we've done it for the last 30 years" when the way are out of date and not cost effective, does not want to improve his products or processes to get with the times, literally has engineers just photocopy old designs using hard to find outdated parts that have modern equivalent parts easily available. Does not care about safety both in the shop and in the products he is producing. Follows standards put out in 1970 and refuses to look at modern standards. All around awful employer. Benefits outside of pay pretty much don't exist. You get berated for trying to use vacation time.
