Pros

Decent pay, better than average Some good colleagues that you will trauma bond with.

Cons

The pay goes to your therapy fees. The bosses are purely profit driven with zero regard of well-being for staff and clients. You will regularly have over-packed schedules with close to zero downtime. No time to breathe and have to deal with bad attitude and snarky comments from higher ups. Some higher ups make a mess of the facilities and gets the staff to clean up. Extremely high turnover rate for good reason, on average 1-2 staff are leaving each month. Client’s parents have often expressed concern at their child frequently changing therapists. You will get no welfare or gratitude for being forced to take over extra duties. If you take mc, all your clients of the day you missed will be added into your next few days of work. If others take mc or are on leave for more than one day, you will take over their workload. When you resign, you will be tormented. They will overpack your schedule everyday till the day you leave. Also have never heard of anyone getting a bonus nor pay raise.

Pros

Loveeeee the kids! So fun to get to know them and their unique personalities.

Cons

Very busy, can be very stressful. Other counselors oftentimes did not act responsibly, putting a lot of weight and stress on the others.
