Pros

pay was great and direct supervisor was supportive

Cons

After working for the company for over a year and being in good standing, I was told my part-time position was dissolving in a week but that I would be able to sign on full time if I wanted but had to decide in 48 hours. I decided to sign the full time offer. However, a day later they told me they could not accept me as a full time employee (with no reason given) and told me I had 48 hours to transfer my cases. Unethical and completely disrespectful to its employees.

Pros

- Pay is good if you're competent - The people seem great - I interfaced with 3 different supervisors and everyone's very positive, very capable of giving relevant instructions.

Cons

tl;dr I felt like an independent contractor more than a part of a larger ABA firm. - Hours suck. They required weekend availability as well. - I had multiple 3-4 week stretches without supervision (my direct supervisor had extenuating circumstances, BUT there were two more supervisors associated with this case) - I can't imagine learning how to do effective ABA here. Supervision is by telehealth. I learned at a different company where supervision was constant for the first few days, and in-person supervision allowed my BCBAs to demonstrate responses to scenarios immediately. Perhaps new BTs get more supervision than experienced BTs, but the only assistance I received was in response to direct questions I had about the treatment plan. Therapy targets were added without explanation. - For several reasons, I got the impression that none of the supervisors I worked with had ever actually seen my client in person. I was given incorrect or incomplete information about my client, and aside from a BIP, I had to come up with a lot of response planning for recurring behaviors. It felt like I was doing a lot of work above my pay grade.
