Pros

Remote work Well known firm

Cons

I don’t even know where to start. This company is absolutely terrible and they do not care about their employees. My manager was verbally abusive, abusive of power, was extremely inappropriate towards myself/many others, did not respect boundaries, bipolar, the list could go on…. He had been reported to HR multiple times and would bribe and threaten employees to lie and defend him so he wouldn’t get fired (this was made aware to leadership/HR and they did NOTHING). Once people started standing up to him and his behavior, they would get fired. Leadership, HR and higher ups do not care to hear your side, how you were treated, affected and violated if you were a bottom level employee. Worked extremely hard for a great book of business and opportunities for my market that was then stolen from me right as things were about to go great for my business because I chose to stand up to my abusive leader. When I tried to reach out to a higher up that I was close with to explain what he was doing to me, I was blocked and ignored. Gave a list of examples and proof regarding his behavior and the wrongful termination and was continuously ignored and silenced. Was given zero explanation to my wrongful termination, no reasoning, no proof, no examples, no prior meeting to address behavioral concerns, nothing. This honestly is a dangerous environment for anyone to be in. I met some lovely co workers while here, and I hope something like this doesn’t happen to them. The whole situation truly is a blessing in disguise but I wish I knew what kind of company this before accepting the offer after they basically poached me from my prior job. No morals, no respect, hierarchy and a misogynistic workplace. Please run as far as you can from this place.

Pros

Decent salary base, probably could be a really good paying job if the job market was better

Cons

Definitely a typical, corporate sales culture where you are defined by your metrics and your metrics only. They are money grabbers, and their commission structure isn't that great. After 2 years you lose 50% of your commission from contractors and they eliminated early release days before holidays. My office started becoming a "bro culture" and the leader was clearly trying to act like "one of the guys" with the males in the office. If your market is slow with reqs, they expect you to reach out to other offices for subs which is hard to do when other offices favor their own teams' recruiters. They'll likely give you a picked over req or one not close to the money that their own team didn't want to work on. I had to reach out to other offices daily to basically beg for a req to work on to hit my metrics. To add to it, the PTO structure for salaried employees is not how they described it when I joined. 17 PTO days total (including sick/personal time btw) and it is actually accrued throughout the year. I had to use PTO for sick time and a vacation, so when I left I had to write them a check for my balance! Talk about a way to really give someone the boot when they're on their way out the door.
