My experience at Keywords Studios had several challenges that I feel are important to share. One of the key issues was the management approach, which often felt out of touch with the realities faced by agents. Policies were changed or added on a weekly basis, with little to no room for adjustments or employee feedback. This constant shifting made it difficult to maintain stability or focus.
Communication was another major concern. Important updates were mostly relayed through the LMS, with the expectation that agents would catch up during their limited free time. This method was inefficient and left too much room for missed information or miscommunication.
Additionally, the training expectations were unrealistic. While upskilling is valuable, the pace and pressure of condensing so much material into just a few weeks felt overwhelming. Proper training should be an investment and not something rushed or forced.
Overall, while the role had its merits, the lack of employee-centered decision-making and poor communication strategies made it a frustrating environment to work in. I hope the company takes steps to improve how it supports and engages its frontline staff.
