Pros
- On average you have a relatively high level of autonomy in how you manage your territory. - The company is run extremely lean so there isn't a lot of red tape and corporate inefficiencies to trudge through - They only promote internally, so virtually every person up to the COO started in the same spot and has grounded expectations as a result - Most managers are open to working with you to find your niche, so it is realistic to transfer to different locations or roles once your proven yourself
Cons
- a lot of the territories are quite large requiring a substantial amount of drive time and hotel stays, so burn out is a genuine concern - Most divisions require substantial phone time to book appointments. The conversion rate to scheduled meetings is unsurprisingly low which makes this a challenging weekly task - Since we only fill positions when there is a large ROI justification, we are a bit light on the support roles and the sales people often have to take on the brunt of technical support.
