Pros

-Good products -Great people to work with -Cool industry -Good training for your next job -Vacation has gotten better, still mediocre

Cons

-You're a drone. Keyence doesn't care about you. -Activity goals are unrealistic -You will be measured on the smallest things that at the end of the day do no not matter- phone calls? Really? The Keyence formula DOES NOT work 100% of the time. If we're selling with other paths, why force us to do something that doesn't work for us -Pay is better than 2 years ago, but is still an industry low, especially for the capital side. -Commission is a joke. Since you're paid on effect your 3% commission suddenly becomes 1% of total sale. Example - you sell 100k- Keyence claims effect is only 30k. so you only make 3% of 30k, which equals 1% of total sale. Then they say their industry low base pay makes up for it. No sorry that's not true. -Promotions are very slow and are usually given to the wrong people. There also is no consistency in promotions. -Mileage is lopsided, capital equipment and laser markers have to drive SUVs or trucks and don't get compensated for it. -Burnout is apart of the job, expect to be in another job within 2-3years -Japanese Culture aka work yourself to death because it's an honor to work for Keyence. Sorry guys, there is no honor to work for Keyence like in Japan. No one is coming out of college praying they can work for Keyence -No work life balance. They could care less if you working yourself to death -Vacation is Mediocre

Pros

Fast paced work environment. CRM is the best I have ever had access to. Data tracking and sales insight is top notch. The regional director for TSS in Michigan/Indiana is great to work under. Leads are easily available, the product is great and it’s easy to get in the door places.

Cons

Metrics are more focused on quantity over quality. Frequently working 50+ hour weeks. Too many reps per territory and it can create a negative perception. Bonus structure vs straight commission is frusterating. Clear advancement structure however being ranked against peers with different sales targets in frusterating. Feels like a turn and burn type of mentality towards sales reps.
