Pros

I worked here as a contractor for one year from 2013-14. The team were very welcoming and it was the first job I had where I looked forward to going to work. Everyone really believes in the borough and doing the best they can for the residents. If a permanent contract was available I would have taken it, the only reason I left was because I wanted a perm position to get a mortgage. I only have fond memories of working at KBC, and would recommend anyone to work there without hesitation. The Chief Executive once wrote me a letter of thanks for my work - a really big deal when there are so many departments and employees! You will feel cared about and like you’re part of something worthwhile at KBC.

Cons

Salaries aren’t amazing - but they’re not bad! What you need to bear in mind is that they have to strike a balance between sourcing great talent and not paying over the odds, as it’s public money they’re spending, and they always bear that in mind, which as a resident is reassuring.
