Pros

Industry average pay. Industry average benefits.

Cons

This is as cut throat a company as you will find out there. Senior property and corporate leadership has their own private agenda which is keeping Mr. Kessler happy, which is impossible, as his leadership is in constant disarray. You can be expect to be called friend one day and likely called out to cover someone else’s (leadership) butt only to be fired the next day. I witnessed of the most talented people in the industry belittled, beat down and let go. I would not recommend working for this this company.

Pros

Serving as General Manager at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook has been an incredibly fulfilling chapter in my career. Over the past year, I’ve experienced a remarkable balance between professional growth and personal well-being. I’m proud to lead a team that’s not only talented but genuinely collaborative and inspiring. The unwavering support from our corporate leadership has empowered us to elevate the guest experience and strengthen our culture. It’s been a journey defined by purpose, passion, and progress.

Cons

Some modification to benefits on the medical side would be good. Otherwise very happy.

Pros

Similarly very diverse seemingly wonderful culture

Cons

I was hired at almost 2 dollars less than the people that were hired a week before and a week after me. Evem with 5 plus years in hospitality. Within 3 days I was degraded in front of a guest. So bad that they wrote about their experience. Nothing was done. After a meeting with H. R the person who actually did the degradation try to retaliate against me. And said that I threatened and made them feel unsafe.. you can try to pull the anger man card. So after checking cameras and doing their investigation, I'm still employed. I still work with this person. I don't feel safe because this person has lied on my name. Once and I'm sure we'll do it again. How is this allowed to happen with HR? And all the established rules and regulations
