Pros

I love the inspiring company culture which focuses strongly on the learning and development of its employees! One striking difference compared to other hotel companies I worked for is the united passion to care about employees, guests and even the community- the company organizes and sponsors multiple charity events in which employees from all levels actually participate. From day 1 with the company I felt like I am embraced and supported by fellow coworkers and managers! There are as well plenty of growth opportunities since the portfolio of hotels is expanding rapidly with new properties opening in Savannah, Charlotte and Atlanta within the next 2 years. If you love to travel you will love that you actually get deeply discounted rooms for all Marriott, Ritz Carlton and Starwood properties worldwide (as low as $29 a night!!!). If you love the Arts you will feel delighted since the properties are full of inspiring artwork and each hotel hosts monthly art events. As a manager I love the fact that you quickly get to know the corporate team in person so you always have a direct line to someone at the corporate headquarter if needed!

Some modification to benefits on the medical side would be good. Otherwise very happy.

I was hired at almost 2 dollars less than the people that were hired a week before and a week after me. Evem with 5 plus years in hospitality. Within 3 days I was degraded in front of a guest. So bad that they wrote about their experience. Nothing was done. After a meeting with H. R the person who actually did the degradation try to retaliate against me. And said that I threatened and made them feel unsafe.. you can try to pull the anger man card. So after checking cameras and doing their investigation, I'm still employed. I still work with this person. I don't feel safe because this person has lied on my name. Once and I'm sure we'll do it again. How is this allowed to happen with HR? And all the established rules and regulations
