Invisible Executive Leadership - Anonymous employee Kemper Employee Review

Ran into the CEO once in the elevator shortly after I started. I had never met him, only seen him on video town halls. I said, “hello, how is your day going?” He said, “great!”, not looking at me or returning a “how are you”. His face never left his mobile phone as we rode the elevator in silence 30 floors down. He then exited the elevator first without a word. I thought, “what a selfish prick”. Execs at Kemper are invisible and they all have posh offices on the other side of a badge-access door from where the “workers” sit. They are unapproachable. And from my incident with the CEO, don’t care about the employees.
