Pros

Amount of paid holidays & PTO accrual. Competitive salary. Excellent on onboarding. $1000 match of HSA

Cons

Incredibly high volume- over 120 exposures each month for 1.5 yrs straight. Receive full claim load when you take PTO for 1 day. You only get taken off claims when you take 2 or more PTO days. Very high turnover...claims departments have been hiring non-stop for over 3 yrs. Dental plan has a $1500 max...that is not a max out of pocket...the plan only pays $1500 & it includes cleanings. Don't get a cavity or root canal or your year will be mostly out of pocket. Medical has very high deductibles. 20% copay after deductible is met. Since Kemper/Infinity merger has taken place, senior management has taken the worst from each company. Infinity lost their bonus. Kemper had 24 weeks of benefit deductions so the 2 months with 3 checks, there was 1 check with no benefit deductions. Now Kemper employees have benefit deductions on every check & the benefits are more expensive.

Pros

Pay and benefits, supportive coworkers, opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and investigation skills. The role provided valuable experience in handling complex claims and making coverage and liability decisions.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
