Pros
Pay isn’t bad Job itself isn’t bad Support from team members Some team leads actually do care and try to help
Cons
I have certain disabilities to where I can no longer work outside the home. The hours these guys had me on were during the hours that my disorder hit me the hardest. I worked with staffing time and time again to try and get earlier hours so that this would be much easier for me. I worked with staffing so many times, but I was denied twice and actually ended up in the hospital one night while working. It just seemed like they didn’t care. Finally after fighting and fighting to get earlier hours, they changed me to an earlier schedule. Two days after that, they let me go. I hadn’t even had a chance to work the new time schedule. And the thing is is that I didn’t even find out that I was let go until I tried to login to my computer, and it wouldn’t let me. I called the help desk to find out if it was yet another tech issue but was pretty much told, “Oh, I see why you can’t login. You’ve been let go from the project.” I got no phone call or anything. Their excuse was the occurrences I had. I was in the hospital!! But doctors’ notes don’t mean anything. It still counts against you. I plead my case, but to no avail. They also said that I could no longer work on the Apple project ever again since I was let go. This company is nothing but a joke and doesn’t give a crap about its employees or their lives outside of work. It’s also impossible to get any time requested off. It’s always denied. I needed 3 days off in a row to take my husband for surgery that I requested months ahead of time. I was denied 2 of the 3 days. Internet down, that counts against you. Electric out, counts against you. The only time it doesn’t count against you is if it is a problem with their equipment which is hard to prove unless they get remote access to the system. I once had to send my computer back in and wait for a new one. It took over a week for me to receive the new one which was of course unpaid even though it was their fault I couldn’t work. The training you receive is almost useless because most of what they teach you, you don’t actually face when you are set out on your own. I could go on and on, but I’ll just leave it here.
