Pros

Executives were willing to pitch in and help when we were hit with ransomware. You definitely don't see that. Most interactions with coworkers were pleasant. Coffee machines and snacks at a lot of the dealerships.

Cons

They have had their entire IT team leave TWICE in two years. Which says a lot. The current IT manager is terrible at managing people; Instead of talking to you about what you're doing wrong as it happens and how to fix it, he will just sit and do nothing until it comes to a head. Major team meetings held within IT were accompanied by Kelley's corporate counsel, which was never needed. Probably a CYA thing but it was pretty terrible for morale. Technical knowledge is through the roof though, so silver lining? Also, he believes COVID is some government conspiracy, so there's that. Kelley will say they want the company to mature, but they're holding themselves back with the terrible decisions they make. C-Level will constantly undermine the decisions you make and listen to others outside of IT even though they know better. Communication is terrible, again, they'll make decisions for individual dealerships without talking to IT first and you'll see varying technologies throughout each dealership instead of consistent ones across all locations. They have no problem spending money. Most of the time this is a good thing, but in Kelley's case it's not. They throw absurd amounts of money at companies that return sub-par work and throw money at projects that don't make sense just because they want it done and it overall makes things worse. Most of their new dealerships have been behind schedule due to poor planning and just trying to throw money at the problem and it never fixes it. This is also due to their preferred general contractor that has absolutely no clue what they are doing and makes equally bad decisions, but Kelley refuses to go with anyone else because they supposedly value relationships. Benefits are terrible; One week is standard. I had to negotiate for a second week of vacation, which is standard at most places. Bereavement is only ONE DAY regardless of who in the family has passed away. After that you have to use all your vacation time. Work from home isn't a thing here. Even in IT. Before the new manager came along we collectively allowed it to happen if you were sick, but afterwards he saw it as taking a day off and stopped that real fast. Help Desk staff are severely under-paid and over-worked. You could make more working at a fast food establishment or a bank. This "anonymous" review allows me to easily be identified, but potential candidates deserve to know the truth about this place and what they're getting into. TLDR: The ENTIRE IT staff has left TWICE in TWO YEARS, IT manager is terrible at managing people but has great technical knowledge, communication is terrible, benefits are terrible, help desk is severely underpaid and management throws money at problems hoping it fixes them when it just makes them worse.

Pros

Great company to work for, among the best in the car business. Executive management gives you the support and tools needed to succeed and genuinely cares for their employees. Top notch facilities.

Cons

The car business is known for long hours/poor work life balance and this holds true here as well. Working every Saturday and working until 7pm or later during the week can be difficult to manage. Compensation is lower than other dealer groups.
