Reading that you were given pushback for taking time off to attend a funeral is deeply concerning. That is not aligned with the culture we strive for at Karsh Hagan. One of the benefits we’re most proud of is our unlimited PTO policy — built on trust, respect, and the understanding that people need time away, especially in moments of grief. Employees should never be made to feel guilty for using that time when their work is being managed. We would have welcomed the opportunity to address this during your time here and ensure you felt supported.
We also hear your concerns about workload and growth opportunities. We recognize that when people are putting in long hours, they deserve clear communication about advancement and fair compensation. These are areas we continue to focus on improving, and feedback like yours helps us better understand where our culture and practices may fall short of our intentions.
