Pros
With time you are given a lot of autonomy. Work hours are flexible and we rarely work more than 40 hrs a week. Corporate wellness program (kettlebell and yoga classes) on site. Work 1/2 days on Friday. 6 days paid sick leave in addition to seniority based vacation time. Anniversary cash gifts. Generally a relaxed environment.
Cons
It's a small family owned company so moving up is next to impossible since no one ever leaves. Two tier organization - management and everybody else. They prefer to give bonuses based on merit and on how well the company did as a whole (not by department) instead of raises. This means some years you may not get any increase in pay and sometimes you may actually make less than the year before. Over time you will fall behind in salary. They have a 401K but the company does not contribute or match.
