Pros
I have really appreciated the support to be a better therapist for my clients, and the collaborative approach within the team and management to do the best for the clients. It feels good to have control over my own diary and caseload profile, whilst being supported to increase my professional scope of practice according to my interests. I am excited by the direction the team and service is going, and the progress made over the last few years. The supportive admin team and allied health assistants make it so much easier to be a therapist rather than a "sales" person or loosing time in the administration. The structure and boundaries within the team, along with expectations for quality outcomes means that I am proud of the work that I can deliver. The management are highly protective of culture within the team and this is visible in how they support the team and address concerns. I appreciate having the freedom of flexibility in how I use my time and where I work from. I appreciate being able to be present for my family and getting that balance right. Management demonstrate a long term commitment to development, growth and improvement. They are open to feedback and take on board my career goals.
Cons
It's good fit for the right type of person and therapist who is prepared to bring their best and elevate and support their team members. If someone wants to ride on the coat tails of others, the team is small enough that it's visible.
