Kablelink Communications

Is this your company?

This is an "ok" company to work as a cable tech if you do not have many options. - Residential Cable Technician Kablelink Communications Employee Review

Pros

The pay is weekly. They have most tools available that are needed to work. And if they do not have them they will obtain them for you and do a tool deduction.

Cons

The routing managers route based on if they like you and the will deliberately stop you from making money. I have been on both sides of the spectrum with them so this is not to bash the company. The equipment tracking is terrible which causes technicians to pay for equipment that is not lost. I discovered this myself and was pulled aside by one of the warehouse guys in which he confirmed what I already knew. And this is even if you have an equipment sheet, because basically if they "say" that the equipment is lost then it is lost.

Pros

It was a rough and dirty job if you're not used to crawling around in people's houses inside and/or out in any weather conditions.

Cons

Safety equipment wasn't issued similar to what Comcast/Spectrum employees had, i.e. ladder retention straps when attaching to a telephone pole, etc. to prevent ladder falls.
