Micromanagement. Relentless stress and lack of resources.

The size of the station allows for freer reporting than other stations. We have a larger budget than comparable markets, but don't spend it. The managers general help employees out (GM excluded) and coworkers quickly include new people into the team. The station is slowly moving into buying better equipment and software for field crews to work.

There is no support from the general manager, which forces the rest of upper management to neglect employees. He is abusive when it comes to his workers and should be reported to the Department of Labor, he doesn't pay overtime and will go out of his way to get the stories he wants covered (sports) even if it means taking resources away from news. Employees are regularly asked to work overtime, but the company's own overtime policies aren't followed.
