Weekend and evening pay, sign on bonus, feels like you're doing good, good benefits

Inconsistent rules, low pay, they send out mass emails offering you gift cards if you write them positive reviews on glassdoor.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. While we do sometimes offer a small thank you gift such as a gift card for employees who take the time to write a review, we never require or request that they write a positive one. Participants are explicitly encouraged to be honest and share their true experience, whether positive, negative, or mixed. Our goal is simply to encourage more voices and greater transparency. We believe that all feedback, even critical feedback, helps us learn and improve. We’re committed to ethical practices and take integrity seriously in everything we do, including how we handle employee reviews. Thank you for sharing a great example of a review that combines both positive and critical feedback. We are happy you like the weekend and evening pay, sign-on bonus, the benefits, and the feeling that you're doing good.

Pros

The company offers a great benefits package, and my team members are fantastic; it is a collaborative environment where your voice can be heard if you are proactive.

Cons

Fast-paced environment, which can be demanding but it builds problem-solving skills.

Pros

Culture has transformed dramatically from toxic to accountable, clear, and kind over a decade Strong leadership development (Gallup, Dare to Lead frameworks) Weekly 1:1 supervision means employees know their supervisors well Real internal mobility entry level to director is achievable based on work ethic Mission-driven workforce, people genuinely care about the kids and families they serve High retention most people want to stay and grow within, even when their current role isn't ideal, they will move positions to stay Respectful, psychologically safe environment all opinions welcome Excellent medical/dental/vision benefits; decent 403b match Positive social environment with systems that naturally filter out toxic behavior over time Competitive pay within the nonprofit/mental health sector

Cons

Pay is significantly below for-profit market rates. nonprofit pay scale is a real tradeoff Director role is highly unstructured can feel chaotic, especially in 24/7 locations requiring after-hours work Toxic employees can linger too long the kindness and grace extended to everyone delays removal Some employees stay in roles that aren't a good long-term fit simply because they love the culture Heavy meeting load at director level can crowd out focused, strategic work
