The KU Bookstore provides a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere, that is the result of excellent management and working with fellow students. At the Tech Shop, you will have access to a great deal of computer hardware and new technology as it is released, from companies such as Apple and Microsoft. The Tech Shop also serves as a fantastic place to acquire and refine real world experience in troubleshooting and fixing a wide range of technology related issues for clients in the student body, faculty, staff and the surrounding Lawrence area. For those with the aptitude and the motivation, it is possible to become certified as an Apple Technician, which serves as a great source of even more technical experience and an excellent boost to the resume of a working college student.

Due to the nature of being an on-campus location, there are a vide variety of clients that you must be able to work with ranging from overbearing parents, high maintenance Professors and general technological illiteracy. Wages are flat based on job title.
