Pros

I enjoyed my internship with KME. Matt took me under his wing and showed me a lot about what goes on day-to-day. The environment was very relaxing and the team seemed to mesh well. The team is very knowledgeable and easy to pick their brain. Have a great work/test lab for new/refurb'd equipment. Technology and tools they used seem to be modern at the time. Xbox conference room.

Cons

I hate meetings and it seemed like some of them were necessary but you see that at every company.

Pros

Working with KME Systems over the past 5 plus years has been the best professional experience of my life. Our owner and his partners have been excellent mentors and have been supportive in every aspect of my employment. When I started with KME Systems I had no IT experience but worked in sales all my life. They took the time to nurture my career and give me the tools and opportunity to thrive in the industry. The benefits are top notch with matching 401K, full medical, dental, vision, vacation and much more. We have great fun company and departmental events and even though we work hard, our family and customers have always come first. The people at the company are the best. From our office manager and his team to our technical director, our technical and sales team, I have never had a better synergistic team than at KME. Whenever we have a challenge, no one points figures, we just find the solution. Many of the employees have been with the company 10 to 15 years which says a lot. One of the best parts of working here is that everyone is a dog lover and most are owners. We are encouraged to bring our puppies in at any time which we have often done. Our owner brings his pup Frida in at the end of the week which has come to be known as Frida Fridays. We love that little dog. She always puts a smile on all our faces. The team here is dedicated to family, clients, and our partners. One of the most used phrases I hear at KME whenever an obstacle stands in the way of a client or family member is “how can I help”. A good culture starts from the top and our visionary owner brings it every day. If you get a chance to work with or for KME Systems, please do, you will have a fantastic experience. As a customer told me last month, “hiring KME Systems has been the best move our company has made in quite some time”. I know working at KME Systems over the past years has been mine. Although I will be moving to a different state and soon be leaving the company for personal reasons which was an extremely difficult decision because I love it here so much, I will maintain my friendships I have built here with everyone in the company as they are all very special people.

Cons

Being a managed service provider limits our geographic reach. Would like to travel a little further but we must be able to maintain our SLAs.

Pros

Flexible schedule - parent company who provides trainings and open communication to management

Cons

Disjointed leadership - parent company and KME management don’t align to ensure employees can achieve expectations. Most of time is spent chasing internal colleagues for status or answers to questions. Clients can get ignored due to all internal demands. Integrating 3 outside companies into 1 was a disaster causing unnecessary confusion and turmoil. Disorganized and chaotic. Teams highly dependent on one another and if there’s no accountability for not being helpful it’s not ever going to improve.
