Month in and month out, I (and other analysts!) dreaded the regular meetings with leadership because the workload was heavy and leadership often took roadblocks in the research poorly and impatiently. Research analysts are expected to be at the office 10 hrs/day. Advancing in the company as a research analyst is difficult - the turnover of analysts in previous years may indicate that the organization either cannot or does not want to retain most of its analyst cadre.
