Pros

Few people are good. Nothing to say more.

Cons

Overall, they do not have quality of research. Most of the faculties don’t know how to treat expat and they don’t have research culture. Kfupm consider postdoc as faculty is showing for university ranking purpose only (actually they treat postdoc as students level). They do not have good research facilities, but they asked you to publish somehow. Kfupm wants always recently completed PhD candidates the reason behind that postdoc candidate have some incomplete manuscripts and it can be published with kfupm affiliation after few months working at kfupm. 99% of postdoc publish after join kfupm from their PhD incomplete work. Some faculties asked to keep their name and affiliation upon selecting the interviews during the visa transition period. They do not follow research journal policy in terms of author’s contributions. Most of the researchers share their names without contributions for number of papers and improving the citations. Most of the faculties do not have unique research area/continuation of the research. Quality of the research is at zero level. Non-experience faculties are in high level of position/manager level and act like corporate rule.
