Pros

The sewage hasn't backed up into our floors in a while. Some of the workers are awesome but a handful of people trying to pick up the slack of everyone else will quickly burn out and rightfully so. If you like getting paid to play on your cell phone all day, this is the perfect place to get away with that. Super laid back place.

Cons

1. The work atmosphere: From the store manager to the assistant store manager, shift managers, and workers, most of them almost every single day will only do the bare minimum of the job which is to get food out to the customers and even then, if it's something that takes effort to make or needs to be pre-made, a lot of them won't even do that. So the next shift has to pick up the slack almost every single day. Illegal activities happen inside the store as well involving minors and an adult and even with proof, nothing gets done about it. 2. The new company that bought this kfc: They changed the hours so that now we don't close until midnight even though only maybe one or two customers come for kfc after 9. So we stay open much later now however the new company, Tasty Chick'n, has severely cut us on labor so more hours, less help and even though we have less help they have strict drive thru times we have to stay under but they also will not give us any working headsets to take orders with. We've been told we have evaluations and raises coming up for months now (since they bought us we've been in a raise-freeze despite working longer and harder than ever) but every time the raise/evaluation month rolls around it gets pushed to the next month. Despite going to the new area manager with any issues and proof of illegal activities, nothing is done about it but that's no surprise as the area manager person only has the shift managers take pictures of everything (paperwork-related) and text them to her. That's all she does instead of coming to the store her self and trying to work through anything. And yet they still fuss about how this store is not turning a profit fast enough for them. I'd say we're treated bad by the owners but we'd have to be acknowledged in some way to be treated bad. To cut costs the new company has stopped us from getting things like certain condiments that the customers would get for free. For a while they didn't want the fryer oil changed out so all our food looked dark and disgusting for long stretches of time. When our delivery truck is unloaded it used to be put up immediately but that hasn't happened in a long time so we can't access places sometimes and occasionally boxes of frozen/cooled food product is just left out on the floor all shift until one of the good workers happens across it. Also, the shift managers don't make any more money than regular workers except for maybe .75 cents to one whole dollar more. So on one hand I don't blame anyone for not caring about this place or the job but at the same time it all just gets left on others. This is the craziest most unorganized apathetic place I've ever worked.

Pros

Working at KFC has several advantages. One major benefit is the flexible scheduling, which makes it a good option for students or people with other jobs. The position is also entry-level friendly, meaning employees typically do not need prior experience to get hired. In addition, the fast-paced environment can make shifts feel shorter and more engaging. Many employees also enjoy the team atmosphere and develop friendships with their coworkers. Another advantage is the availability of employee discounts or free food during shifts, as well as the potential for advancement into shift leader or management roles.

Cons

However, there are also some disadvantages to working at KFC. The pay is often relatively low, usually close to minimum wage. The job can be physically demanding, requiring employees to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and perform tasks such as lifting and cleaning. The work environment can also be messy due to grease and food preparation. Additionally, the job can be stressful during busy hours, especially when dealing with long lines or high customer demand. Employees may also have to handle difficult or impatient customers, which can be challenging. Finally, work schedules may be inconsistent, with hours varying from week to week.
