Pros

Many of the associates are very knowledgeable and willing to help at the drop of a hat. Many of the lower level managers are very flexible and rather understanding.

Cons

Benefits are average. Vacation/Sick time does not roll over. It is a use or lose program. The medical options are ok but the networks are more designed for the Indiana based associates. Senior Management is heavily involved in the day to day operations and lacks trust of junior management. There is a disconnect of information between site and corporate management. There seems to be a shroud of secrecy between corporate management and offsite employees that builds distrust. Set realistic expectations and provide appropriate training and feedback in a timely manner.

KEM KREST Response

Thanks for your review. Kem Krest is very proud of our transparency and communication. We do present company updates including strategy and financials to all associates twice a year, and monthly through our newsletter. While our Corp HQ is in Elkhart, there are great long time leaders in Brighton and it still runs mostly autonomous. Senior management has been very involved with Brighton since it is a fairly new acquisition. The reason is to ensure there is consistency in culture, information flow, and continued learning from the new business. Truly there is no "secrecy" - we are one company with one mission - to make an impact to our associates, our customers and our community. We also appreciate the need for everyone to take time off. Roll overs in PTO can end up resulting in people never taking needed time off and banking time for future payout. That is not the intent of PTO.
