Pros

- Work/life balance - You will see upper management leave every day shortly after 5. If excessive after-hours asks happens consistently, management will help to address the issue with the client. there is not an expectation that you will answer emails all the time. - Commitment to recognizing good work and results. They celebrate your successes. - Access to management (they actually help with client work at all levels, in the trenches type stuff) - you will advance if you’re smart and perform well, IF you're willing to put up with the cultural negatives - pay is average to good

Cons

-Toxic, awkward culture and lack of appropriate workplace etiquette: off-color jokes and comments, inappropriate and invasive comments/personal life discussions -People who are ok with the bad vibes, gossip, and ickiness from upper management are clear favorites. The people who ignore it or don't play along are seen as unhappy or and are criticized for that or your work performance questioned. - Gossipy and cliquey across all levels from junior level to VP/SVP. - Office has no sunlight except for the partners' offices - poor infrastructure (computers are old, no laptops or dedicated conference lines/ZOOM for employees), e.g. when you work from home (they allow it 2 days per month so not nearly competitive to other companies) you are suppose to use your own equipment - hugely risky from an IT point of view and inconvenient

Pros

Unlike most agencies that feel like a revolving door of employees, most KCSA employees have been there 5 to 15 years! A flat agency, where all levels work together on projects and your opinions / ideas are listened to whether you're an AE or an VP Hard work is valued and noticed, KCSA is very generous with promotions and raises. I started as an AE and have moved up to an AD in under 2 and half years. A family feel - the managing partners stop taking their salaries to avoid furloughing anyone during COVID and keep all employees on health insurance during the pandemic

Cons

Growing fast / more than doubled in size this year - so typical agency growing pains to meet the demands and expansions Sometimes you can have 2-3 different managers or have clients in 3 or 4 different industries - can make it difficult when you have deal with a lot of different managing styles or have to hop around a lot of different sectors
