Pros

Praying openly for and with one another. Meaningful mission. Use to be a place where upward mobility was possible and people truly cared about one another. Talented creatives, engineers, financial minds and other professionals.

Cons

Change in executive leadership (CEO) in 2023 caused a severe decline in integrity, empathy, mission-focus and culture. If you aren't apart of the "good ole boys club" you won't have any influence, impact nor respect. Any positive reviews you see, check the dates. They're mostly pre-2023.

We value your service of 9+ years and appreciate the impact you had while serving in the ministry. We know that change is difficult. The new leadership is being very diligent in creating a safe and transparent culture. Team members are being given opportunities to get to know the heart of the new leadership team in town halls, table talk luncheon, and new hire luncheons with the ministry leaders. We are seeking to hear and understand the hearts of our team members. Together our desire is to draw more people closer to Christ and leading by example. We are sincerely sorry that this wasn't your experience. We value your feedback, and we care about you.

Pros

K-LOVE has been incredibly good to my family and me. The compensation is excellent, and they also offer generous paid time off, strong health insurance, and unique perks like wellness programs, which I really appreciate. They are truly working to spread the Gospel and lead people to Jesus. Over the past year, they have made a real effort to reach every age group, and I personally love seeing that direction. It is encouraging to be part of something that impacts people’s lives every day. I get to hear stories of marriages being restored and of people who were once broken finding hope again, and that inspires me to lead and care for my team in the same way. That is something I deeply believe in and am honored to be part of. There is also a genuine desire to see meaningful growth for staff, both externally and internally. An open-door culture that encourages big-picture ideas and gives people a chance to see those ideas come to life is very encouraging, and something I am grateful for.

Cons

K-LOVE is in a difficult season, and that reality is reflected in the rating here. The first part of this year brought significant leadership turnover, including the departure of several key executives, and those changes have been felt deeply across the organization. What has been especially hard is the way some of those departures were discussed afterward. Even when not intended, comments that seemed dismissive or critical created hurt and weakened trust for many of us. In an already uncertain season, that kind of language makes it harder to move forward with confidence and unity. Leadership is challenging, and I genuinely believe Tom is doing his best. I also believe he was placed here for a reason. At the same time, some of these changes have felt very sudden and difficult to understand, and it has been hard to watch parts of the culture that once made this a warm, fun, and accommodating place to work be reduced in the name of mission. These changes have also happened during the development of our Covenant, which adds another layer of complexity. I do not know whether the timing of the departures was connected to that process, but the impact has been real. It has shaken trust, created discomfort, and left many people feeling like they need to hold their breath. There is still a desire to share ideas and contribute meaningfully, but recent events have made that more difficult for many of us. It is hard to lead a team well when you are often helping people process decisions made above them. I remain grateful for the opportunity to serve and to be part of the work K-LOVE is doing for the sake of the gospel. One additional concern is career growth. In my experience, it is common to remain in the role you were hired for, and while opportunities do exist, it does not always feel like people are truly considered for them. At times, people also end up taking on responsibilities outside their role because their work is valued, which can make growth feel less clearly defined.
