This one got alot ah. Family-run business. There is no "clan culture" or flat hierarchy. That is a total joke. Everything circulates around 1 person and that 1 person changes his mind very quickly. When there are people discussing about what will please him instead of the betterment of the project or company you know this place is dysfunctional. The boss is next-level cheapo. So end up marketing staff gotta pick and pack over 1000 items and carry them to the lorry for events. Truss, cabinets, racks, countertops, tables, chairs, carpets, and products. This ranges from 50kg furnitures to over 3000 products in varying weights. 340g to 10kg. There is a staircase to pick all these items also so imagine if you had to carry all these items. He has not considered if there are employees that have issues with physical activities. i swear I have never seen "out of jobscope" on this level before. After the event ends we do get some off in lieu "which they say is a good-will privilege because MOM law does not require managers and above to get off in lieu", but all salary is base + allowance and if you are off in lieu that allowance is deducted prorated. yes it's only a few dollars but it's a big finger to us. Imagine slogging it out for 18 hours for 3 days over the weekend because the management cheaped out and doing what is perhaps the biggest out of your scope of work then getting less pay. There is no servant leadership with this guy. He would just leave you to get the crazy stuff done and go back earliest. Then he would put up this goofy act saying that its easy. Dude try. There's a major obsession with protocols and workflows as a poor substitute for lack of management and supervision. There is no autonomy. You can't lead a 50-man team if you don't give the middle management any leeway or autonomy to make decisions. There is also no hygiene. The warehouse area for the products is messy, dirty, reeks of rat pee, and a very thick layer of dust and other stuff. One staff fell sick when picking stock from warehouse. Every seat in the office is monitored by CCTV. They know when you pick your nose. So have fun knowing that. Have I mentioned that they are proud of this? There is NO windows in the office because they completely boarded it up. It is seriously depressing and inhumane in there. to add to that your table is a cabinet opens up to a 40cm by 60cm space surrounded by nothing but walls. Lastly the working hours 830 to 615. can tell every minute legally can work they want to jiak.
