Hard to imagine a more destructive environment - Technical Support Engineer Junxure Employee Review

Pros

There are times when there is genuine, if erratic, kindness from senior leadership to individual contributors. Technical support teams are courteous to customers and have built a well-deserved reputation for quality service. The development team is strong although they desperately need a more mature development life cycle. The industry is interesting and evolving. And, as often noted other reviews, the kitchen is generously stocked.

Cons

There's a severe lack of maturity in the leadership of the company. Senior leadership has a troubling need for adulation and a delight in delivering a good beating for any grievance, perceived or real, which has created a bullying culture. In my tenure, I saw multiple employees leave in tears of anger. I saw folks with high pedigree marginalized and dismissed months after joining Junxure. I saw rampant deception - large and small - many of which were obvious and easily disproved. (The 2011 press release announcing that Junxure Essentials had been "years under development" the most egregious of them all. That assertion was completely false.) As an employee, you'll do well to remember there are one or two opinions that matter at Junxure, and neither is yours.

Pros

This place is really wonderful. It's a small business feel, very personable, tight knit family feel. The kitchen is unbelievable in terms of being stocked courtesy of the company. The people here also are wonderful.

Cons

There may be times when staying late isn't deemed "Required", but would be somewhat expected to show commitment. Honestly, this is the case with all companies that are under 100 employees or you hold a position where deployments occur.

Pros

The very first thing that you'll notice when you begin your interview process is how open, friendly and collaborative the entire team is, leaving you with the wonderment if it is all for real. During my tenure of just shy of 24 months it was not only genuine but proved to be the just the tip of the iceberg. The culture of the Junxure team is one that I had personally never experienced before. Every team was extremely passionate and dedicate to the success of the company yet unbelievably humble in their contribution to the team. Statements never began with “I just” but rather “You should see what X is doing”. As a result of this collaborative and supportive culture I always felt that my opinions where not only accepted but also given serious consideration. I found the leadership of the firm to be very open and sincerely concerned with how their team was both personally and professionally.

Cons

For those that are not able to be self-sufficient this may not be a great fit. If you are looking to be always told what to do and stay inside your shell you will not have the opportunity to experience all that this company has to offer.
