Pros

Opportunity to work fully remote, although if you lived in NYC they would pressure you to visit the office for various events and meetings.

Cons

The “competitive compensation” June claimed to have was a total joke. All benefits were essentially removed after they overhired following the series B raise. I accepted a very low salary due to the “growth opportunities” and benefits (i.e fully covered insurance, 401k with match, and bonus structure), however a few months in they began to remove almost all benefits. Health insurance premiums went up and it was no longer fully covered by June. 401K matching was discontinued, bonuses were never given despite exceeding quarterly goals. With inflation on the rise we questioned leadership about salary adjustments and the CEO Dan became very defensive. Working at June was the most soul sucking experience I’ve ever had. The company actively contributes to the housing crisis in new york, snatching up affordable housing in low income areas and leasing them to transplants for 4x the rent. June also has a HUGE diversity issue, despite there being 200+ employees you could most likely count POC team members with one hand. Most of the jobs were outsourced to russia, ukraine, and greece which made communicating with your colleagues very difficult. June leadership celebrated toxic hustle culture and even bragged about a Ukrainian team member working from a bomb shelter in the middle of war.
