I’ve had a really positive experience working at Joslin Rhodes, and I honestly don’t recognise some of the negativity you see online. First and foremost, the staff are amazing. From day one I’ve felt welcomed, supported, and treated with genuine respect. People here actually care about each other and it shows in how teams work together day to day. The culture is friendly, hardworking, and supportive without being cut-throat. As someone who is visually impaired, I can’t praise the company enough for how accommodating they’ve been. Adapted equipment was sorted quickly and without fuss, and I never once felt like I was a burden or an afterthought. That kind of understanding and practical support makes a huge difference, and it’s something Joslin Rhodes genuinely does well. The HR team deserve a special mention. They’re approachable, responsive, and human. You can have honest conversations with them and feel listened to, which isn’t something you find everywhere. Employee benefits are solid and fair, and you can tell thought has gone into creating a workplace where people actually want to stay and do well. The building itself is also fantastic – modern, well-designed, and a genuinely nice place to spend your working day. I also want to say something in defence of the CEO, Neil. He’s had a bad rap online, but in my experience he’s a decent guy who’s built the company from nothing through hard work and determination. Wanting people who align with that work ethic and who are compatible with building a growing business isn’t unreasonable – it’s exactly how successful companies are made. Overall, Joslin Rhodes is a company built from the ground up by people who care about what they’re doing. If you’re willing to work hard, get involved, and be part of a team, it’s a great place to be.

Like most growing businesses, there can be the occasional late shift once or twice a week, depending on workload. That said, it’s manageable and balanced out by the overall flexibility and supportive culture, so it’s never felt like a major issue.

Great support from colleagues and the business through the JR Cares initiative. Employees nominate their chose charities. Onca a month the team dress down and can make a charitable donation. In September I ran the Great North Run the team were fantastic in supporting me with donations which were then matched by the Company as well as a personal donation from the CEO . Fantastic initiative helped raise £1000
