Pros

Other than a few co-workers that I actually became friends with, there is literally nothing about this company that is a Pro.

Cons

All of them! They are horrible, awful people to work for. They keep you locked inside the building from 8am-4:30pm. You are only allowed to leave the building on your 1/2 hour lunch and 15 minute break. They frown on having too much interaction with your co-workers inside the building during work hours. Talking is frowned upon, laughing is highly discouraged. They keep the A/C blasting in the summer so your finger actually turn blue and your teeth chatter. They keep the heat so high in the winter that people seriously fell asleep at their desks it was so hot. You are forbidden from opening a window if you actually have one. The BIG BOSS is just plain nasty. His disregard for female employees is unbelievable. He will monitor your telephone calls and internet usage even if you are dealing with a client. If he thinks you've been on the phone too long he will disconnect your call from his office. A co-worker was fired because she paid a personal bill online one day. The son of the owners is the world's biggest pig. He will make inappropriate, discriminatory sexually degrading comments to all employees and if you stand up for yourself to him, it gets even worse. He will steal things off of employees desks for the hell of it. Oh and he thinks he is a stud lol. The number of municipalities in Allegheny and Washington Counties that have this company as their contracted tax collector is abhorrent!

Pros

No pros, only cons from experience.

Cons

The owners and managers overwork temp workers and don't allow temps to have a cell phone on premises out of fear the temp worker might take a picture of their punch card to prove being ripped off of pay. (The following is what a payrolled employee told me) Because JTS has this rule that all workers are to punch in early before start of day, punch out for lunch at least a minute after start of lunch, and punch back in at least a couple minutes before end of lunch break, then must punch out either on the minute of the end of shift or after. Payroll employees are compensated for ALL extra minutes of punching in early and out late. BUT. TEMP WORKERS DO NOT. JTS disallowed temp workers from having phones because temps started taking pictures of their punch cards to show the temp agency that they were not being fairly compensated due to the required early punch-ins and late punch-outs. Could be as much as 10-15 minutes PER DAY of LOST PAY. Over 1 week that's as high as 1hr 15min lost pay. Over a month that's 5 hours LOST PAY. If the temp is getting paid $12.50/hr that's $62.50 (average) that JTS should be paying the temp worker. When I worked there my temp agency only compensated me for exactly 8 hours pay each day, but my punch card was reflecting more than 8 hours worked each day. Only when I spoke to my friend there about that, that's when they told me the above history behind the "no cell phones for temps" rule. Also, the JTS Owners have hundreds of surveillance cameras in the building aimed at employees and everywhere throughout including in the break/lunchrooms, and aimed at the time punch clock. When I was there, the only place there were no cameras was inside the restrooms.
