Pros

• Fully remote structure with contractor’s allows for geographic flexibility • A handful of colleagues are mission-driven and genuinely collaborative

Cons

•The so-called “feedback culture” often functions as constant oversight, creating hesitation and second-guessing among staff • Management frequently engages in gossip, especially around employee exits, which undermines professionalism and trust • Concerns around discrimination are not handled transparently, and those who speak up may face consequences • A non-Black contractor created a custom emoji featuring a racial slur and was not formally disciplined; an executive staff member shielded him from accountability • That same executive is believed to have manipulated departmental metrics without internal review • Accountability is inconsistent—leadership is insulated, while individual contributors are scrutinized • A noticeable influx of positive reviews appeared after a period of internal unrest, which does not reflect the lived experience of many employees

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We rely on open forums like Glassdoor where individuals can reflect on their experiences to help folks get a sense for Jones at a glance. Transparency and accountability is foundational both within the Jones team and with our clients. However, individuals who do not align with our values typically find the work environment challenging. It appears that after receiving our response to your original review on Glassdoor a few weeks ago, which contained several misleading claims, this review is a second attempt to mislead (especially given that your first review was deleted). We want to note this to the Glassdoor Community (and Admins) as the review not only violates the core tenets of the community but now appears to be a consistent attempt to target Jones. Seeing as Glassdoor was founded to give “Power To The People” (Rich Barton, Founder), we believe it’s important to use this platform responsibly and address reviews that intentionally misrepresent the facts. Given that we responded to the original review, our message remains consistent: At Jones, building a great business means delivering on the values of transparency, accountability, and trust. Allegations of misconduct or discrimination are taken seriously with a formal process for thoroughly investigating concerns and taking action. Suggesting that these matters are ignored or tolerated is not only inaccurate but deeply misinformed about how the company operates. Your claims about management, accountability, and transparency appear to come from a place of slander rather than genuine feedback. Our values are rooted in supporting professional growth, which makes us a better team, which makes us a better company. Accountability is a two way street and we expect the same level of integrity from our leadership and individual contributors alike, including when they provide feedback internally or on public forums. As for recent positive reviews, we respect that not every employee has the same experience, and we stand by the feedback from team members who are proud of their work. The latest reviews were a natural result of the company’s 2024 performance cycle - it appears they reflect the general tenor at Jones currently. We welcome the opportunity for new folks to join our team and benefit from the reflections here on Glassdoor! Thanks again, and best of luck on your next steps.

Pros

Insurance and Unlimited PTO benefits

Cons

Working at Jones was one of the most discouraging professional experiences I’ve had. The company suffers from extremely high turnover, which isn’t surprising given the toxic and abusive leadership style. Office politics outweigh merit, creating an atmosphere where employees are pitted against one another rather than supported. Leadership sets completely unreasonable expectations with little to no resources or guidance, then shifts blame onto staff when those expectations aren’t met. Feedback isn’t constructive—it’s often dismissive, belittling, or outright hostile. There’s no real investment in professional growth, and the culture rewards favoritism over performance. The result is constant burnout, low morale, and a revolving door of talent. Many employees leave within months, and those who stay are stuck in a cycle of stress and disillusionment. If you value a healthy work environment, collaboration, or leadership that respects its people, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Jones wasn’t what you were hoping for. While we respect your perspective, we do want to note that the themes you describe are not consistent with the feedback we regularly receive from our team. Many employees highlight collaboration, growth opportunities, and support from colleagues and leadership as positive aspects of working on the team. Nurturing our workplace is what drives the high level of employee retention we’re proud to see-our data shows retention rates of 92%, roughly twice as strong as those of similar stage companies. Among our department leaders and managers, that commitment to growth and stability is even more pronounced. At the core of employee success are our company values that guide the Jones team every day. Our focus on empowering each team member to take on meaningful challenges that support their professional growth has a direct, positive impact on our people and our clients alike. That said, we recognize that no workplace is perfect. We’re continuously working to improve communication, resources, and leadership development. We take all feedback seriously and view it as an opportunity to strengthen how we support our people. We appreciate you taking the time to share your input and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
