Pros

Great start up role for entry level. Decent pay and good team to work with.

Cons

Micromanagement started around 1 year after I started. Few management actions and rules I am not a fan of. Customers can be real terrible at times. *Editing this review as I had such a horrible experience with HR and their referral program. Apparently, this is a first come first serve policy where it doesn’t matter if the referred person accepts the role or even get an interview. I referred my partner for several roles and first one he did not even get through an interview process. They still will not honour it despite the fact that I sent a second referral and my partner now has been working in the role for 3 months. They seem to have this hidden policy and not outward towards their existing employees. A billion dollar company and incredibly cheap towards their existing employees of many years. I have done referral programs with other companies before and JCI by far has the worst policy for what?? $700 and will be taxed.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
