Pros

JCI is a Fortune 100 company and it's something you can really feel while working here. It is a global workplace in a true sense of the phrase and you get the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds

Cons

If you really want to make it to the top, you have to be in Milwaukee. As much as it is global, the core is still very much in Milwaukee and there is little space for people from other parts of the country and the rest of the world. Also, the standard of salary increases is below par... There are promotions that occur when they are earned, but the benefit from them other than the recognition itself is very, very minor.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
