Pros

Good salary level at start

Cons

No parental leave beyond FMLA for U.S. employees, and you cannot carry over vacation year-to-year, so you can't bank for parental leave or childcare emergencies. Extensive layoffs have created a vicious competitive environment, work-life balance is out the window, with remaining employees expected to take on the responsibilities of eliminated positions without additional pay. 60+ hour work weeks are common, weekends and evenings are not respected, with the expectation being 24-7 availability and responsiveness.
