Pros

There are some nice people that work within the company and some of the work is rewarding - from time to time you feel you can make a difference to someone.

Cons

There are extensive cons to working at the company and I would discourage anyone from pursuing a career here unless you have been extremely successful in a heavy sales role, and are happy to work well over the hours you’ve signed up to, without additional pay or time back. Appointments are often double and triple booked with a ‘make it happen’ mentality. Support is simply not there if you need it and it seems a lack of teamwork is actively encouraged at times, with colleagues being berated for picking up appointments when others are overwhelmed. There is absolutely no flexibility with working hours or working from home, with policy at the forefront of every request despite the role claiming to be ‘hybrid’. Lastly and worst of all, bullying within some of the offices is rife and it all comes down to luck of the draw as to who your manager is as to whether you are subject to this and whether you fit the mould of what they are looking for. If you are not willing to put your morals on hold to hit a target, this job won’t be for you.

Pros

This is one of the best jobs you will ever have. The team are great, we work well together under immense pressure. Things can get a little frayed but there is a good culture of support especially in the office. Really good training and nice coffee.

Cons

Immense responsibility and pressure, for a relatively low salary. You get roughly the same hourly rate as you would at the job centre just a 30 minute break rather than an hour. They supprise you with a target that you must meet but which you have no control over. You have to somehow guarantee that your participant provides a certain salary for 6 months and that it is reported to the tax office. Both things you have no control over whatsoever.

Pros

Jobs 22 as part of the global organisation AKG delivers on the UK restart contract. It is an exciting industry to working with a number of great opportunities to genuinely impact upon peoples lives. There is a culture of high-performance and accountability but is undeniably incredibly supportive.

Cons

There are not many cons but you do need to be resilient. Employability is an industry in general is very challenging. The restart scheme is a performance based contract… you are required to perform consistently at a high level. Not really a con, it’s just a reality.
