Pros

Its a very fun environment if you are open minded and like being silly. If you are high school or college, the hours are very flexible. You actually pick your own schedule each semester. There is a list where you can put your name and date for days off, and if you keep on it, you can usually find someone to cover for you. There is also usually a good amount of people signing up for days off so if you are aggressive you can pick up some more hours. The daily hours range from 8AM o 4:30AM the next day so if you try you can fit it into your schedule. And like I said, at least at the one I work at on Pensacola St, it is a pretty fun environment. Giving fast service and living up to the name is actually a small source of pride and enjoyment too. If you are a driver, you can make a substantial amount of money for the work when you factor in the tips and tax breaks. One driver told me that he makes almost 30,000 a year when its all said and done, working 35 hrs a week at a job that is not very demanding.

Cons

The pay is minimum wage and I do not believe that their is anyway to increase that, unless you either become a driver or are chosen to become a manager in training. If you choose to become a driver, it can take a toll on your car and you will need help if you are a novice filing taxes for it. Also driving late at night has the potential to be dangerous. Also as in any service industry in a college town, both in-shops and drivers have to deal with potentially rude, drunk and unprofessional people which can be annoying. You only get 4 shifts to sign up for a semester, at least at the one i work at. Which means that the max hours you can get on your own range from 15 to 25; as some shifts are longer than others depending on the day and the time they are offered. You will have to do some work to get more.

Pros

Good pay, if there aren't too many drivers, and you're at a good place for lunch, you can expect to make around $50 in tips per day or more, and get reimbursed for mileage. The people there can be hit or miss, some people can be very fun to work with and responsible.

Cons

The upper management can be lead with too many sensitive women, who don't know how to diagnose situations properly, and take the side of the immature employees who get offended way too easily. The co-workers can be very young and irresponsible, but this is par for the course for food places if you don't have strong leadership.
